Outdoor Halloween Decoration Ideas

Turn any lawn into a truly scary graveyard complete with zombies climbing up from the dirt

Whether you have a house or an apartment, any front door can transformed into a truly frightening entryway to another realm.

If you have a good size frontyard add a few foam tombstones and turn your lawn into a graveyard. Add a few prop arms and it will look like a Living Dead movie. Or set a giant cauldron in the middle of your rose garden and stand a couple of life sized witches next to it. Not scary enough? How about hiding some zombies behind the shrubs, tie a rope to it's next and whenever a kid walks by pull the rope and scare the hell out of the kids.

Try hanging sheets with a basketball in them to simulate a ghost. A few bats wouldn't hurt either. Let your imaginations run wild.

You can't go wrong with a simple pumpkin outside your front door. But why not spice it up a bit. Get some decorations that you can light up. Maybe hang a happy Halloween sign on your door. It doesn't have to be anything fancy.

Of course what Halloween is complete without some lights. I usually have a few strings of 15ft orange lights that I hang in various places in my living room. I wrap them aroung mirrors, picture frames, bookcases anything that looks cool. You can find orange, purple or black ligts. All pretty cool. Mix in some skeleton lights and a few strobes and you've got yourself one creepy looking house.

Happy decorating!
